JDC Company & Hip Hop Team 2023-2024

If you are interested in auditioning please email us at info@jennysdancecentre.com or call us at 847-932-4070. Auditions will take place on Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th depending on your dancers age and level.

JDC Company is a year-round program designed for the dancer who wishes to train at a more intense level and have the opportunity to compete in dance, and/or for the dancer who would like to pursue dance in college and beyond. Each part of the program is designed to improve the dancer’s technique and performing skills and will also teach them time management, responsibility, strong work ethic, higher goal achievement and the importance of teamwork and unity.

The JDC Company dancer is training to be well-rounded across dance genres and styles within those genres.

Our youngest members take classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop.

Classes in Contemporary, Tumble, Yoga, as well as additional Ballet & Jazz Technique classes are added as the dancer progresses.

The commitment for the Company program varies by age & placement, currently ranging from 4.75 -16 hours weekly. Friday and Saturday rehearsal hours are a part of the regular schedule.

Male and female dancers

7 & older may audition for the JDC Company if they meet the prior training requirements as listed on the audition flyer or receive a recommendation.

Dancers interested in auditioning for the JDC Company who are not currently training at JDC must have prior training in Ballet and Jazz.

The JDC Company competes in 4 regional competitions during the year. Dancers in the advanced divisions also compete in one national competition every other year.

Most JDC Company dancers will also attend workshops/intensives in-house and outside of JDC.

All divisions of Company perform in the June recital and other scheduled company events throughout the year.

Company dancers are required to continue their dance training at JDC during summer months. (Requirement varies by age and division placement.)
