JILLIAN CAMPBELL ('11)
The JDC company alum just recently finished her first year at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. She was chosen along with 13 other freshmen dancers to represent Point Park at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) ballet competition in Philadelphia, PA this past January. She performed two pointe ensemble pieces as well as a contemporary solo and classical variation. Out of 60 soloists, Jillian placed in the Top 12 with her contemporary solo "Let It Rain" choreographed by JDC teacher, Michelle Manzanales. The contemporary pointe ensemble piece "Make Your Move", choreographed by Kiesha Lalama, placed in the top 3 ensembles and competed at the YAGP finals in NYC this past April. Jillian has had an exciting time at PPU and can't wait for more opportunities to come her way!

CAROLYN HUSAGH ('11)
Carolyn is studying Communication and Economics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She continues with dance as an extracurricular through Cadence Dance Troupe, Michigan's Ballroom Dance Team and her Greek Week Variety Team, all of which provide her with performance, fundraising, competition and service opportunities. In addition, Carolyn participated in the Lloyd Hall Scholars Program and worked as an Office Assistant to the Dean in the School of Art & Design. Further, she pledged to her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. Carolyn thoroughly enjoyed her first year and appreciates all the opportunities, experiences and friends she gained along the way. She looks forward to returning to campus in the fall for a second fantastic year!

SEAN BELL McDERMOTT ('11)

Sean Bell is still dancing extracurricularly at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania. She loves that she is able to use all of the training that she learned during her years at Jenny's Dance Centre everyday. In addition to being on the Dance Company at F&M, she is also an elected member of the executive board.

EMMA STOCKERT
('11)
Emma is finishing her freshmen year at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. First of all, she is LOVING the weather down south (three words: shorts in February). Emma is pursuing an English major with a minor in dance performance. She is a member of the Wake Forest Dance Company and performed in the fall concert last semester. She was one of two freshmen selected to perform “Breaking and Recovering” choreographed by Assistant Professor of Dance Christina Tsoules Soriano. Emma really enjoyed the experience and was able to contribute both choreographically and conceptually to the piece. This upcoming April, Emma will be performing in the company's spring concert in a piece called, “Collaboration.” The work is choreographed by a senior and features music by an acapella choir. Emma is also a new member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and loves her new sisters. That being said, she still misses her family at JDC and encourages all of the younger girls to come visit her!
